HOW DOES THE COMBO WORK AND WHY USE THIS METHOD?     

IF YOU HAVE A DIVERSE GROUP OF CUSTOMERS YOU MAY HAVE SOME THAT ARE NOT ABLE TO ORDER ONLINE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT COMFORTABLE DOING THIS OR PERHAPS THEY DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD

YOU MAY ALSO BE SELLING TO PEOPLE THAT ALWAYS PROCRASTINATE SO IT MIGHT BE BENEFICAL TO MAKE A PERSONAL SALE AND COLLECT THE MONEY IMMEDIATELY

JUST SO YOU KNOW YOU CAN ONLY USE THE COMBO IF YOU HAVE SET UP AN ONLINE STORE AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN.

YOU CAN DECIDE UPFRONT THAT YOU ARE GOING TO USE THE COMBO METHOD SO THAT YOU CAN ENTER SOME SALES MANUALLY IN BULK INTO THE ONLINE STORE. OF COURSE IF YOU NEVER PLANNED TO DO BOTH YOU CAN STILL USE THE COMBO METHOD AS LONG AS YOU STARTED WITH A STORE 

REMEMBER THE PROCESS IS EASY TO DO. YOU GO OUT AND MAKE SALES  EVEN WHILE OTHERS ARE ORDERING ONLINE. THEN YOU INPUT THE ORDERS INTO THE ONLINE STORE IN ONE OR TWO BULK ENTRIES. YOU WILL HAVE TO USE A CREDIT CARD FROM ONE OF THE ORGANIZERS TO DO THIS BUT SINCE YOU HAVE ALREADY MANUALLY COLLECTED THE CASH YOU ARE NOT OUT OF POCKET.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST INPUT THE MANUALLY OBTAINED SALES ONLINE IF YOU HAVE THE STORE SET UP IN ORDER TO HAVE THE PRODUCT ORDERED AT THE END OF YOUR EVENT. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH AT THIS POINT AS IT IS TO CONFUSING TO TRY AND WORK OUT COMMISSIONS  BETWEEN ONLINE AND PERSONAL (MANUAL) SALES.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT SOME STORES WILL HAVE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF TRANSACTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH IT DUE TO THE DELIVERY CRITERIA AND THIS WILL STILL APPLY. THIS IS OF COURSE DEPENDANT ON THE PRODUCT BEING SOLD DURING THE FUNDRAISER.

GST AND HOW IT AFFECTS FUNDRAISING

SOME PRODUCT HAS GST AND SOME PRODUCT DOES NOT. WHEN THE PRODUCT IS PURCHASED ONLINE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GST BECAUSE WE COLLECT IT. IF YOU MAKE TRADITIONAL SALES AND THEN INPUT THEM INTO THE ONLINE STORE YOU WILL PAY US GST IF THE PRODUCT IS ASSOCIATED WTIH THE CHARGE. (INPUTTING ORDERS ONLIES IS REQUIRED IF YOU ARE PERFORMING A COMBO SYTLE FUNDRAISER.)

WHEN WE PAY YOU FOR THE FUNDRAISER THE GST WON’T AFFECT YOU AT THIS TIME BECAUSE WE WILL HAVE ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF IT AND THEREFORE THE GST WILL NOT COST YOU ANY MONEY.

COSTS OF SETTING UP THE ONLINE STORE.

 There are no upfront costs to your organization for setting up the store however there are the visa/mc fees. Please refer to the online fundraising section to view any costs that are associated with the fundraiser. The minimum retail sales per vendor is $300 to get the fundraising wholesale price. If you are unable to obtain this level of retail sales then you will receive 10% off the retail price to ensure that you make some money.
